Iselin Shumba

Iselin Shumba er skuespiller, aktivist og samfunnsdebattant, utdannet ved Khio, UiO og i NYC. Som skuespiller er hun kjent fra ‘Snøfall’, ‘ZombieLars’, ‘Hjem til jul’ og ‘Ragnarokk’. Nå er hun aktuell med Happy-Noir serien ‘Livstid’ på NRK. Hun har også jobbet ved flere av landets scener, deriblant Nationaltheatret. Som aktivist var hun en av initiativtagerne til det første norske #metoo oppropet; #stilleforopptak. Det siste året har hun ledet klima-demonstrasjonen #istillhetforklima og vært svært synlig i debatten om mangelen på mangfold i film. (Hun er også bidragsyter i magasinet ‘Altså’ og den bærekraftige designbutikken ‘JF Curated’.)

Iselin Shumba is an actor, activist and public debater, with degrees from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts, Oslo University and from The Michael Chekhov Institute in New York.

As an actor, she is known for her roles in tv shows such as Snowfall, Zombie Lars, Home for Christmas, and Ragnarok. As an activist, she was one of the initiators for the first Norwegian #MeToo movement; #stilleforopptak. The past year she has spearheaded the climate demonstration #istillhetforklima, and she is at the forefront in the debate around the lack of diversity in film. She is also a contributor for the magazine Altså and the sustainable design boutique JF Curated.
